Introduction to how new media has changed the field of mass communication

Hi boys and girls there, this is my first time to be a blogger and this blog will mainly about the information and my opinion about learning Public Relations by new media. Since i am new in blogging, so here come the very first blog that i had wrote. This post is going be an introduction of me since the topic is myself, as all of you know, self-introduction is always will be the boring and awkward part (what i always feel) because the blogger is going to present him or herself in front of everyone, what Asian not usually used for it. okay, will try my very best to make it more interesting and present to you guys the most real fact about me. (hope i really know myself well, haha)

My name is Daphne Yong Sing Wen, is 20 years old now (not official) as my birthday is 12 December, height and weight is SECRET. My hobby is reading and watching running man as well as Kang Xi lai le (a Taiwan variety show) i am a degree student who currently study in Tunku Abdul Rahman University College under Public Relations (PR) in Mass Communication. That is a question that everyone would like to ask, why are you choose to study Public Relations ? (especially when they know that i am from science background). Actually is really does not matter with what i have learned in the past, is about what i wish to be or enjoy in doing in future. I really like to talk, to communicate with the others, i do not know why but i just enjoy it. I guess is because i like to listen to the life story and experience of others as well as sharing mine with them since everyone is different in this world, maybe i cannot experience all of those story by myself but at least i can imagine it when i heard from the others. 

Here come a wrong perception that i had towards PR before i study it, i always thought that PR is all about communication by mouth but actually PR is more on doing the paper work such as writing the news release and working with the press in order to manage the good image of the company. The part that i love the most in PR is the crisis management because we can learn to handle various type of negative thing that had happened to the company in the very short time. It is quite challenging part but i can learn the most from it. Overall, although it is a bit different from what i thought about PR, it is still acceptable and can be handle. i will still choose to study PR if i were have a chance to do the decision again. 

I plan to become a professional PR practitioner in future because i really enjoy in doing the PR work. Even though i know it is not a easy to achieve it, i still hope to do something that is related to PR. Another thing that i had felt after i studying degree is that diploma is really easier compare with degree. everything is getting harder and harder in degree but i will not give up easily. As my favorite quote stated, "try your best in everything before you said you can't."
